Arab Media Summit Opens in Dubai with Record Attendance from 23 Countries, Featuring Dr. Anwar Gargash Keynote on Gulf Geopolitics and Eight Specialized Forums

The 24th Arab Media Summit opened in Dubai on September 15, marking the largest edition in the event's 24-year history and bringing together over 10,000 media professionals, officials, journalists, and content creators from 23 countries. The three-day summit runs through September 17 at Dubai World Trade Centre under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the directives of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Media professionals and content creators began coverage four hours before the official opening, conducting early tours, interviews, and live broadcasts that reflected strong global interest in the summit agenda. Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, delivers a keynote address, alongside His Excellency Dr Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, who will address Gulf geopolitics, regional and international shifts, and their impact on the region's security and stability. The summit encompasses eight specialized forums: the Arab Media Forum, the Government Communication Forum, the Arab Youth Media Forum, the Films Forum, the Games Forum, Dubai PodFest, the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit, and the Euronews Forum. More than 175 sessions examine how Arab media can sharpen its competitiveness and open new avenues for collaboration as regional and global media grapple with sweeping geopolitical and technological change. Three award ceremonies will honor achievements in youth media, journalism, and social media influence: the Arab Media Award, the Ibda'a Arab Youth Media Award, and the Arab Social Media Influencers Award. Nine new national partners joined the summit this year, including Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Municipality.
