The March decline represented a 1.3 percent drop, the first full month in which Iranian drones began targeting sites in Dubai and the UAE. The resident population figure does not capture the full scale of activity in the city: Dubai's daytime population rises to 6.392 million due to commuters from neighboring emirates. In the most recent quarter, construction of 27,300 residential units was completed, the highest quarterly volume in years, supporting absorption of returning and new residents.
