Russia Launches One of War's Largest Ballistic Missile Barrages on Kyiv

Russia fired 40+ missiles and 120+ drones at Kyiv overnight July 19, one of the war's largest ballistic barrages. At least 1 killed, 16-17 injured per Zelensky.

Russia launched one of its largest ballistic missile attacks of the war on Kyiv overnight into July 19 — more than 40 missiles of various types (including hypersonic Zircon and Iskander-M systems) and over 120 attack drones, per President Zelensky. At least one person was killed and 16-17 others injured across several Kyiv districts.

Zelensky said the attack was the result of prolonged Russian missile stockpiling and renewed his appeal for additional Western air-defense interceptors.
