UAE Authorities Foil Two Cross-Border People-Smuggling Operations, Arrest Gulf Nationals and Accomplices

In the first operation, authorities arrested a Gulf national who entered the UAE through a border crossing accompanied by two infiltrators and five family members, attempting to disguise the smuggling as a family trip. The suspect had planned to bring 18 Asian nationals into the country illegally in separate groups. In the second operation, authorities thwarted an attempt by a Gulf national woman and her daughter to smuggle a foreign national wanted by security authorities out of the UAE. Investigations revealed the woman had exploited ease of movement and brought family members to conceal her activities, and she was accustomed to smuggling infiltrators. Her daughter's husband had previously been accused in similar cases. All suspects have been arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution for investigation. The operations highlight the effectiveness of UAE border security in countering infiltration and smuggling attempts.
