A 45-year-old woman identified as Salma Salauddin Pathan was killed when a temporary iron structure erected for Dahi Handi celebrations collapsed on her while workers were dismantling it in Old Sangavi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, on Friday night, September 4-5, 2026, according to Press Trust of India, Latestly, and Telangana Today.
