Dubai Retail Announces Skylight Mall Opening 2027 on Al Khail Road with 360 Stores Spanning 1.3 Million Square Feet

Dubai Retail, part of Dubai Holding Asset Management, announced on October 6, 2026, that Skylight Mall will open in 2027 on Al Khail Road as a super-regional shopping and lifestyle destination, according to the Dubai Media Office as reported by Gulf News and Khaleej Times. The mall will span 1.3 million square feet of gross leasable area and feature more than 360 stores, joining Dubai Retail's existing portfolio of 58 malls and lifestyle destinations across the emirate. Khaleej Times reports that its Al Khail Road location will give convenient access to residents of Jumeirah Village Triangle, Jumeirah Islands, The Springs and neighbouring communities, while drawing visitors from across the city.

The mall will combine retail with dining, entertainment and everyday services, in a contemporary design with expansive interiors and interconnected spaces. Details on retail brands, dining options, entertainment and other attractions are expected to be announced at a later stage, and an exact opening date has not been given. Dubai Retail's existing destinations include Palm Jumeirah Mall, Nad Al Sheba Mall, The Outlet Village, Ibn Battuta Mall and Dragon Mart, along with lifestyle destinations such as Bluewaters, JBR and Palm West Beach.
